In the advent of cooler weather (FINALLY), I’ve been noticing more and more people out of doors, enjoying the more seasonably favorable temperatures Austin has been experiencing the past couple of weeks. (Now if we could only get it to rain…)
No mater the weather, Austin is always an active town filled with runners, cyclists, rowers, Frisbee golfers, hikers, rock climbers, walkers, dog walkers, uni-cyclists, tight-ropers, football players, golfers, soccer players… the list could go on. Part of the reason there are so many athletes is that the city is accommodating to the out of door enthusiast. With so many dedicated green spaces (like the hike and bike trail that cuts through the middle of the city, Zilker Park, the Green Belt, Auditorium Shores) and dedicated pedestrian bridges, like the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge, it is easy to get on your bike and ride! Just be safe… and wear your helmet!
