Treaty Oak. I Bow at Your Boughs

Treaty Oak has stood its ground for over 500 years now.  Local legend has it that Stephen F. Austin negotiated Texas’ first boundary treaty with local Native Americans in the grove.

In all it’s history, it stands wise with strength and endurance…

I remember hearing the local news headlines when Treaty Oak had been poisoned.  Sad as it was,  Treaty Oak brought together a mass community effort to save her.

Your Majesty, Treaty Oak.  I bow at your boughs.
